S.O.D.A. (Samuha Overseas Development Association)

Hilary Crowley is the founder and president of this Prince George Charity.

S.O.D.A. supports a development organization in South India that assists families living in poverty to overcome the difficulties of living with disability.  As a trained physiotherapist, Hilary initially went to this region to help victims of polio.  As polio is becoming less prevalent, rehabilitation workers now also provide services to people with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, amputation and much more.  Therapy is followed by vocational training and income generation enabling families to support themselves.
S.O.D.A. also provides training sessions to the local disability workers.  Hilary has also supervised Canadian physiotherapy students in an annual visit for vocational training.
